Playing sports regularly always reaps rewarding skills and values in multifold.

Promoting athleticism and team work, SFS PU College organised a two day sports event in its expansive playground on 8 th and 9 th of November 2024.
The athletic extravaganza began in its grandeur with an inaugural ceremony. After the ceremonial practices of rendering the prayer and welcome address , the Chief Guest of the Event Rev.Father Johnson the Principal of SFS Academy , the Principal of SFS PU College Rev.Father Staney Rodrigues, House Animators, Physical Education Teachers, the College Student Chairman Mr.Vasanth Kumar and the Sports Secretary Mr.Nikhil Anderson joined the flag hoisting ceremony, honouring the spirit, strength ,dedication and unity which bring sport and community together. Setting the tone for an inspiring day of spirit and excellence, March-Past, a perfect display of unison and allegiance was carried out by the College Student Chairman Mr.Vasanth Kumar, the Sports Secretary Mr.Nikhil Anderson and the respective house captains.

The spectacular display of synchronised March-Past instilled a sense of dignity and pride in participants. Igniting the spark of ambition and courage to celebrate their trumphs , a vibrant torch march was displayed by the Sports Secretary Nikhil Anderson and the house captains. This feat charged the air with electrifying impact.

In a promise to honour the values and principles of games conducted ahead, the oath in all its seriousness was taken by the participants. Both, the participants and their house members and animators were seen eager and excited for the commencement of track as well as field events. Besides, insightful messages by the Chief Guest Rev. Father Johnson the Principal of SFS Academy and the Principal SFS PU College Rev.Father Staney Rodrigues boosted their morale and prepared them with readiness.

Pushing them forward for a peaceful event that marks the thrilling celebration of athleticism to its heights, doves were let flying free in the sky. Thus, it symbolically marked the beginning of vibrant sports events spread out over two days consecutively.
