World environment day is marked on June 5th, the day is celebrated across the globe to sensitize people about the importance of protecting the environment. SFS PU College celebrated the World Environment Day on 5th of June in the campus. Kannada lecturer Mr. Srinivas spoke about the need to develop awareness among people about the importance of planting trees and gave few interesting insights into the ways the environment can be handled better. A sapling was planted by the senior most non teaching staff Mrs. Preetha, who has been working in this institution from past 13 years.
