Kanakadasa Jayanthi 2016
Kanakadasa Jayanthi is a festival celebrated by the people of Karnataka in general and Kuruba Gowda community in particular. It is celebrated every year on the birth anniversary of the great poet and Saint Shri Kanakadasa. In tribute to the great saint, the Government of Karnataka has declared the birthday of Kanakadasa as a state holiday.

Kanakadasa was a poet, philosopher, musician and composer from modern Karnataka. He is known for his Kirtanas and Ugabhoga, compositions in the Kannada language for Carnatic music.

In S.F.S.PU College on his birthday that is on 17th November 2016 a prayer service was organised by Principal, Staff and Students.
