Wilkommen
Freshers’ day is an event which is awaited eagerly for its excitement and exuberance. The Freshers’ Day is christened as ‘Wilkommen’, the German word for ‘Welcome’, was organised on 9th June, 2018 to welcome the newcomers. The programme started with a prayer dance. It was followed by the Welcome address by Jithender of II PCMB. Moving ahead after the welcome address, the Chief Guest Rev Fr Titto, Guest of Honour Mr Gladi, Rev Fr Joshy the Manager, Principal Rev Fr Saji, Academic co-ordinator Mr Murali and Rakshana the Chairman of the Student Council together lit the lamp. After the introduction of the chief guest by Mrs. Gayathri Faculty in English, the Chief Guest enlightened the audience with an inspiring speech.

Our institution is distinct in terms of identifying and appreciating talents. As a sign of appreciation for the remarkable performance, the Desalites who had topped the II PUC exam in the year 2017-18 were awarded. Desalites who had secured 95% and above were awarded with a certificate and 10% fees refund. Desalites who had secured between 90-95% were awarded with a tab and a memento. Desalites who had secured 85-90% were awarded with a Rs 1000 cheque and a memento.

Proceeding further, the Guest of Honour was introduced by Mrs Gayathri . The Guest of Honour was felicitated by the Principal Rev Fr Saji. It was followed by the felicitation of Rev Fr Joshy.

Parents nurture their children to bear fruits and make them fly to greater heights. The parents of II PU toppers - Ancyleena (Commerce Topper) & Amita Nayak ( Science Topper ), were felicitated as a token of appreciation for playing a vital role in moulding and preparing their children. Rev Fr Joshy was requested to do the honours.

Subject toppers were awarded with mementos. SFS PU College took great pride in honouring teachers who gave 100% result in their specialised subjects.

The audience t witnessed the Investiture ceremony of the academic year 2018-19. The Guest of Honour conferred the elected representatives of the student council with badges. The elected representatives were administered the oath by Mr Abey Abraham. After the oath taking ceremony the Principal addressed the gathering. It was followed by a dance performance by II year boys.

The programme was concluded by the Vote of Thanks followed by the National Anthem.
