Christmas celebration 2016
With the message of joy, hope, peace and sharing, Christmas was celebrated at SFS PU College with gaiety and full enthusiasm on 23 rd Dec 2016. Celebration began with a prayer song at 9:30 AM to bring in the presence of god almighty.

Fr.Tomy was the guest of the day. Our honorable principal Rev.Fr.Saji welcomed the guest with a bouquet. Soon after the welcome speech the ceremony of lighting the candle took place. Our guest for the day Fr.Tomy ,Principal Rev. Fr.Saji , Academic Co-ordinator Mr. Anthony, Staff- room Co-ordinator Mrs. Mini and the student representatives lit the candles.

We had almost 13 dances performed by the students, where the spirit of Christmas was all alive in campus. We also had a mime which depicted the life of Jesus Christ.

There was a small twist in the skit, DeSalites enacted a play, the Christmas carol by Charles Dickens. The play delivered a valuable message of the season.

The Christmas cake cutting was done by our Guest, Principal and all the lecturers. Later, Desalites were awarded for their participation in different cultural events. Also for their participation in District level Foot ball competition.

The day was also included with a student speech where the desalites gave the message of what Christmas is all about and the purpose of Son of God coming into this world.

At the end of the program the college choir sang the Christmas carols. They came singing amidst the crowd which poured the spirit of joy all around.

With lot of preparation, dedication and enthusiasm Christmas was celebrated in the honor of birth of Jesus Christ. It remained as a great day of significance in our lives.

At the end a desalite thanked each and everyone. The function concluded with the national anthem at 12 pm.
